Hi I'm Renata!
A graphic designer & webflow developer

Let’s create something amazing together!

I bring a unique blend of skills and passions to the table. With a background in Food Engineering and Business Administration, I’ve always been fascinated by the intersection of food, innovation, and creativity. My love for visual storytelling led me to pursue a certificate in Graphic Design, which I completed in Canada at BCIT and Emily Carr University.

Originally from Hungary, now based in Ireland (Carlow), I continue to explore new opportunities to combine my diverse background with my passion for design. When I’m not crafting designs or brainstorming ideas, you can find me exploring the great outdoors. Hiking and immersing myself in nature are my go-to ways to recharge and find fresh inspiration.

Exploring Food Quality Concerns:
A Visual Critique

This project delves into the issue of food quality and regulations, focusing on the contrast between European and Canadian standards for food additives. Inspired by my personal concern as a European in Canada, I spotlighted the unsettling reality of how chemical additives transform natural ingredients into everyday products like bread.

To represent this, I used a "lab experiment" theme, symbolizing these additives as unnatural, bright green liquids—an eye-catching visual that highlights the disconnect between nature and processed food. The project aimed to provoke thought about what goes into our food and advocate for better transparency and standards.

Lindt Chocolate Packaging Redesign: A Fresh Take on Flavor

For this project, I reimagined the packaging for Lindt Chocolate's orange and mint flavors. My goal was to create a design that feels more natural and clean, aligning with the essence of the ingredients. The redesign emphasizes simplicity and freshness, making the packaging visually appealing while reflecting the premium quality of Lindt Chocolate. This project showcases my passion for blending aesthetics with functionality to enhance brand identity.

Magazine Design: The Art of Layout

This project focused on designing a magazine, with a strong emphasis on creating cohesive and engaging layouts. I love working on layout projects because, when done right, they transform content into a beautiful and harmonious composition. Through thoughtful use of typography, spacing, and visuals, I aimed to craft a design that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing, making the reader’s experience seamless and enjoyable. This project reflects my passion for detail and my belief in the power of great design to elevate storytelling.

Magazine Design: Creative Harmony

This project challenged me to combine skills in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign to create a polished and dynamic magazine layout. From crafting eye-catching visuals to ensuring seamless typography, I focused on every detail to bring the design to life. I love how layout design lets me explore creativity while maintaining structure, and this project was a perfect opportunity to showcase my versatility and expertise across multiple design tools.

Branding collateral & annual report

In this project, I created cohesive branding collateral, including a poster and a section of an annual report. The goal was to ensure consistency across visual elements while effectively communicating the brand’s message. This project allowed me to explore the interplay between design aesthetics and functionality, focusing on clean layouts, engaging visuals, and clear typography. It was a rewarding experience to bring together different pieces of a brand identity into a unified and professional presentation.

National Child Safeguarding Programme

This recent project involved redesigning and developing a website for a child safeguarding programme in Ireland. Built entirely by me in Webflow, the design strikes a balance between playfulness and professionalism, reflecting the programme’s focus on children while maintaining the gravity of its mission. The goal was to create a user-friendly, visually engaging site that effectively communicates the programme's objectives and resources. This project highlights my ability to adapt design styles to suit the topic while ensuring functionality and user experience are at the forefront.

Karoline Branding

This project focused on creating a cohesive branding guide for my cousin’s handmade candles and ceramics business. The guide outlines the visual identity, including logo usage, color palette, typography, and packaging design, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints. Inspired by the artisanal nature of the products, the branding emphasizes warmth, elegance, and simplicity to reflect the care and craftsmanship behind every piece. This project highlights my ability to build a brand identity that resonates with both aesthetics and purpose.

Youtube video for EIT UMX channel

In this project, I served as the project manager for three videos for the EIT UMX YouTube channel, taking charge of coordination and production. My role included reaching out to interviewees, arranging interviews, and curating topics to align with the channel’s goals. Additionally, I edited two of the videos, ensuring high-quality output that engages viewers. Two of the videos are already live on the channel, showcasing my skills in both project management and video editing.
